New inhabitants

Today while trying to clean the algae off the glass, I noticed some white specks moving around. A closer inspection revealed small creatures with approx 12 legs. They constantly move around the algae covered areas. I have tried to remove the algae but its almost like its painted on this time. 5 days ago when I cleaned the glass off, everything was removed extremely easy, but this time I can not remove it.

Any ideas on what is going on?

My tank is 29 gallon, FOWLR that has suddenly grown polyps, with 2 Maroon Clownfish.

Pods. No worries. The algae you are experiencing sounds like coralline.

Is there anyway to remove the algae from the glass? Its to the point where I am no longer able to see anything other than green.
