NEW! Innovative Marine NuvoAquariums & SkkyeLight LED Lights

MarineDepot.com is pleased to announce we'll be the first online aquarium supply company to carry Innovative Marine's new line of aquariums and LED light fixtures.

We've already got some of IM's tanks on the site available for pre-order and we'll have the rest (including the fixtures) up early next week. The NuvoAquarium Series is comprised of 5 all-in-one rimless glass aquariums; the SkkyeLight Series consists of 4 LED light fixtures (more details on our blog).

We'll be setting up one of the larger tanks in a series of YouTube videos. Feel free to subscribe to our channel for updates!

I am interested in the 16g version of this tank but I can't find any information about the dimensions of the tank other then the length. This is an important factor as it will be going in an area with a limited footprint. I saw that it is 24" wide but saw nothing about depth or height. Perhaps I missed this somewhere? Would you be able to provide the full dimensions of the tank? And is there any information detailing the PAR readings of the lights?

Innovative Marine 16 Gallon Nano Aquarium

Innovative Marine 16 Gallon Nano Aquarium

With the lighting on the 16 gal mod, what type of corals can you keep?

Innovate Marine's new tanks are really sleek and we are excited to see them out in the hobby. The 16 Gallon Nano Aquarium we have available has two different color spectrums available, 10K and 14K. The lights are suitable for lower light requiring corals, like mushrooms and many soft corals. You can probably keep some non-photosynthetic corals as well as long as you feed them! The 10K model is a great choice for freshwater planted tanks.

If there are specific corals you have in mind, feel free to give us the list and we can tell you yes or no. :fish1:

Do you think a bubble coral would work? I have one doing well in my current 12g nanocube (using just the stock CFLs). Or should I transfer it to one of my other reef tanks?

And if I have plans of upgrading the lighting on this tank sometime in the future, what are your suggestions for good LED nano lights? Is AI ever going to release the nano version of the SOL, and would the nano SOL be too small since this tank is 24" long?

Bubble corals require moderate lighting and would probably be OK within the upper region of the tank, closer to the light. Be careful with flow though, as they can be sensitive to high flow and prefer a lower flow area of the tank.

We presently do not stock the AI series fixtures, but we have some great alternates. Innovative Marine has 30 watt and 92 watt Skkye LED tablets that are both suitable upgrades. We also have Kessil A150W Special Blend LED Aquarium Lights and Orphek Dimmable LED Pendants which are great LED options for nano tanks of this size.
