I just upgraded my lights from 150Watt HQI to a 250 Watt HQI ... my setup has been running for a good couple years ... does any one have any suggestions on how to acclimate my corals that a already use to the 150 Watts? I havent installed the new lighting as yet, but plan to do so in the next couple days.

I currently have a 120g with softies, LPS & SPS .... any type of input would be appreciated.

Thx

If you can raise the lamps up enough, that should help. Also, using screens to block the light will work.

I have done the timer method in the past.

When ever i buy new bulbs or change to a stronger bulb I just change the times.

Run the new bulb for 4 hours first week and then gradually increase your time 1 hour a week to the full 8-9 hours.

When u mean screens ... do u mean clear screens ... right?

Window screen is what I used when I changed over to my mh setup; used a couple of layers and simply removed a layer a week until done.
