I used to use the x10 camera and had troubles with quality, i think this xanboo camera is better! Cam is up usually from 10am est to 6pm est. Enjoy!

I've had a cam on my tank 24/7 for almost 4 years. The hardware/software has changed a few times over the years it's always on:

The camera is an Apple iSight and I'm using EvoCam to generate the applet.

My setup will eventually have one. 530 line jvc... when i ever get around to it. Remodeling the HT as we speak, and already have the wires in, just no time to fiddle with the server.

figures... you apple guys and your apple software. A family member used to work a lot with apple and their development folks. I should hit him up for a machine. (hes got one of those G3 prototypes that was never put on the market and was out LONG before they even told anybody about the G3...i thik it is the G3 anyway). Kinda cool.

Actually Bean, I only switched to Apple a little over two years ago. I'm a unix guy at heart and wouldn't have owned a pre-osx Apple.

You got a dallas 1-wire interface for that apple? Being linux underneath it could make a nice controller for the tank.

WEll nice webcam setup. The framerate is pretty good (though I have a 30 meg fiber connection right to the backbone... )

I have yet to relly play with OSX. Can't afford one of the machines at the moment.

and the cam is on a 10 meg fiber connection so that helps.

yeah... almost real time frame rate... a few jitters but pretty darn real time. I am 30/5, did you get the 10/5 package?

Mine's advertised as 10/10. It typically measures at about 9/8
