New LTA - Should I dig a hole for it? Other advice?

I am adding a new LTA tonight and it's been forever since I've had one. I can't remember... Do I need to dig a hole in the substrate for it? Any other advice on how to keep it happy?

Make sure the area you pick out for your LTA will be in a low flow area. Yes, dig a hole in the substrate for it by a nice large piece of rock. It will either chose the rock to attach to under the sand or attach itself to the bottom of your tank. After your anemone has settled in, give it a bit of food. Good luck with your new anemone. :) I hope it settles in fast for you :D

Thanks! He seems to be doing well. My female pink skunk dove right into him.

His mouth was open for a little while. Now (with the clown in him) I can't really tell. That's probably him just settling in, right?

How soon should I feed him?

Thanks for the help!

Just wait a few days before feeding. Give it time to settle in and adjust to your lights and flow. It might move a little but as long as its not floating around the tank you should be ok. Mine actually pulled itself under and between 2 pieces of live rock to find it's favorite spot. Once it stays in the same spot for a few days then maybe try a little piece of shrimp.
