New LTA!!

Well 2 days later they are still just looking at it.. lol.. put are inching closer. Funny thing is my 2 clarkii's, when I bought them at the LFS they had to be pulled out of a BTA. Think they know what an nem is?

Well I may have stated in an exagerated way on how certain I am they will accept it and how fast they will, but I'm sure it will happen and pretty soon, hows that?lol
Clarkis love their host so much I scored a free one once long ago, only had enough money for one clown and the nem it was in, after bagging the first clown and going for the nem the other clarki swam straight into it's mouth.
The guy says, well, you just scored a freshly fed anemone!
I can't tell you how fast I drove home rushing to get them in display praying the nem would let the clarki relax and swim back out, and it did, tattered beyond belief and pretty rattled, but soon I had a bonded pair of clarkis happily in their nem!
I will be curious to hear how soon it happens.

Well.. finally my clarkii's went into their new LTA, they didnt want to go to it.. soo I took the nem to them..lol. Clarkii's dug a hole in the sand under my rock wall in the front corner of the tank to sleep at night. So i moved the nem during the day in their hole.
Now the fun part is moving the nem back to were it was.

That's Awesome but sometimes patience is best. Hopefully the nem will be able to settle in. Most of the time it is best for the nem to not be a host until it settles in and attaches securely. Clarki clowns are agressive guests to nems and can be rough on a newly acclimating nem. Great looking nem, good luck with him. I recently added a purple and a green LTA. The green would never settle and withered away however the purple is doing well. It took it about 2 weeks to settle.
That is today's prject.. gonna move him were the sand bed is thicker and out of the corner. Actually I can dig a hole next to the corner (2" away) rock structure. which is alot thicker sand.

+1 on adding more sand or putting him into a container 4" for smaller LTAs and for larger full grown 5-6" if not they will sadly not last long. If they stay moving around to much you'll start to notice tears on the foot and then infection can occur.
