New Marineland 300 DD Setup Log

Update

Update

had some time to add a little update.

System is doing well, battling a pest at the moment I have a ton of little snails/whelks.

I have been removing them from the system they come out at night but dont seem to bother anything but usually freaks me out because if i shine a flashlight in the tank the front glass is covered with hundreds.
Soon they will be under control.:bounce3:

Next I bought a expensive tool... Apex Gold with WXM and an additional EB8. Really impressed with the advancements Neptune( Apex) has done with there controller not to mention Fusion which makes it a breeze to setup for less computer programming inclined individuals like myself.

I must give a big thanks to the store who introduced me to the APEX and its crazy functions Thanks Reef Origene, And an even bigger thank you to the Guys at Neptune Apex , they made the setup so easy and when I was stumped they took control and showed me step by step how to set it up.

Love my Apex Gold!

Hey Chris,

Do you have it setup with all your equipment? I now want to redo all my float switches for water changes since the capabilities of this device is so vast.

Im going to check out your build thread.

Nice, Rob! I recently picked up an apex junior to control my gyres.. Being computer dis inclined, it hasn't been completely smooth... Not really the fault of the device, though, just my lack of basic computer understanding..

I do, I don't think I documented it in my build thread. I have it setup on 95% of my devices.

Apex Gold has been up and running, still lots of tinkering to do with it, but the learning curve is getting better. Fusion is a breeze !!

I wasn't planning on getting a break out box just yet, since I have the Hydor ATO. Now I am going to call the guys at Reef Origene to see if they have any instock and ditch the Hydor ATO since I want to keep all things Apex. I will also be adding another temp probe to my PM2 for salinity according to BRS TV its a better means for accurate readings.

Looking great, Rob!
I love your fish room.. So clean and neat. Looks like a retail outlet! :)
Tank looks great, too.
Might be time to get in a little closer on those corals..

yeah I always have my iPhone handy, :headwalls: but need to start taking my Nikon out and learn how to get those nice closeups like you do

Ok so I decided to finally take some time and get some pictures up, here we go not perfect but better than nothing.

Very nice setup, love the sump & equipment selections as well as your livestock. I am slowly working on my 300DD but it will be fall/winter before mine is setup. Great job!
