Its about a softball size. Not sure what to do with him in regards to tank placement (initially) or acclimation. the rock is covered in sponge and buttons and a couple of mushrooms. Is this a good anemone and will a clown attempt to host it? Anything special to supplement it with?

Nice 'nem!

It can go in the lower portion of your tank..they are not a light hungry species.

It will not host fish but have been known to actually eat fish that strayed to close. They are very sticky.

You can target feed with mysis shrimp or small pea-sized meaty meals like krill or chopped silversides and the like.

can someone tell me if there is a small nem right behind the larger one or is it a rhodactic shroom? And anything else i need to knw about mini's...like food preference and feeding methods.

I have several of the maxi minis. Love 'em. I've had the one for a little over 4 years. I've never had one split on it's own. But, I understand they are quite easy to cut in half. They don't seem to bother any other corals. They will cruise around a little bit until they find enough shade. Unfortunately that has sometimes been on the undersides of ledges and hidden from view. I never feed them they seem to do quite well with whatever happens to fall into them. I'm always on the lookout for more with crazy colors.
