Hello. I'm Jeromy currently residing in New Haven. I'm glad to be fishkeeping again and can't wait to meet you all at an upcoming meeting. I have almost 10 years experience in the pet store trade as I grew up with my father owning 3 pet stores. We are currently down to 1 and I don't know how much longer it will last. The place hasn't been updated in years and the store makes just enough to pay the bills to keep the doors open (barely). We never did much salt but when I managed it we specialized in hard to find freshwater. Plecos etc. I haven't worked their in almost 6 years. Guppies to Puppies in Old Saybrook if you are wondering.
I recently bought a 15 gallon reef tank and have been stocking it with corals. I just got an older 29 BioCube.

My 15 is bristle worm free and I'd like the 29 to be as well. I have plenty of base rock.

You know this is an expensive and I've spent a fortune recently. Mostly at All Pets and Exotic Fish & Coral.

I'm looking to buy/trade or take donations of.

1) Good live rock fair price
2) Small amounts of live sand from people's tanks.
3) People in the area to meet up with and let me visit their tanks. Who doesn't like showing off their tanks?
4) I'm looking for frags soon.
4) Ideas to modify my Biocube on the cheap. (The plastic cover over the CF's is quite cloudy and the 3 moon lights are barely visible. I'm thinking of adding a blue LED strip that I can just stick on the plastic light cover. I saw one for Glofish that has 8 Blue LED's.

FYI GobyApparatus in a Phish reference mixed with a fish reference. They have a song called Golgi Apparatus.

Jeromy

Thanks for the compliment mtc1966. I bought an established tank but have already added a bunch of corals, CUC and a few fish to it. There is at least 1 coral on every piece of LR so I don't want to put that in the new tank.

Yeah I know most people have them and they a good job of cleaning up. I prefer other CUCs. I don't think anyone loves them. I had a bad experience breaking down a 300 gal tank that was loaded years ago for a customer that wanted to switch to Africans.

Welcome, get a club membership it will save you in the long run. Blake's in meriden, the coral reef in Stratford, headies corals in east haven I think, all of those give us good discounts especially on salt. I believe those are all closer to you than me.
