I moved mine from one tank to another about 6 months ago. The rock it was originally on stayed in the tank and is now covered - the exact same colors.

In the new tank I burned mine very badly with my LEDs. It still hasn't recovered (the blue turned pink and the mouths stopped opening.) So I'd say no to the high light. Mind you, it did fine for about a month, but once the teal 'skin' started sloughing off it didn't stop until I hid it in the shade in the bottom.

I just picked up a piece that is green with bright orange mouths. I love this coral, definitely on the top of my LPS list.

Mounting them to a rock allows them to start spreading/encrusting over the rock a lot quicker then just placing it on a rock. Did you see my picks on the first page?

I have 216W of T5's on a standard 55G and I think I am going to have to keep him in the shadows for now and slowly pull him out!

Nice, I run 216 watts t5 as well + LED blues. I keep my meteor shower about half way up, slanted (less light than flat). Seems to enjoy. Check out my video of the thing eating!

I find mine has a growth spurt after water changes.

Out of curiosity, what bulbs do you run?

These guys grow very rapid. I love them and have a few different varieties of colors. They will grow on anything in any crevice, very thinly, which is cool because you can literally let them grow on anything and it will take the exact shape of exactly what it's growing on.
