New Mitratus

I also find myself liking the Chaetodon Interruptus (Indian Tear Drop)

I've never cared for the relatively massive looking jaws on this species, and its close relative, C. unimaculatus...

My bubble wasn't burst because of that, I started CP 2 days ago and my regal isn't doing well and had to move her to the 75g last night now I get to tear the tank apart looking for her( which is never a good sign that she's alive) 3 rd regal I can't seem to keep alive and healthy so I think I'm just going to have to put this fish on the list of ones I can't keep. I loved that fish too is what really sucks about it, never mind the money

Sorry to hear about your Regal. I have one but a Pacific variety and has been through CP due to Velvet wiping out my tank, the Regal and a Lyretail were the only to survive and showed no reaction whatsoever to CP. I was going to get another and try to pair it with my current one but after hearing a couple of people having bad results with it I am hesitant. Maybe Red Sea ones are susceptible.
A couple of questions if I may.
Are Regals hermaphrodites or born a sex?
Will I have a slaughter if I have 2 in a 180g.

I think the are hemaphordites. In pairs I have seen one of the two always has a "y" formed by one of the stripes oriented like the letter or upside down. I know I won't try CP with a Red Sea version ever again, I will stick with TTM or just have a tank for that fish to be observed in for a few months. The "Y" in the stripes I believe means it's a male but don't quote me on this.
