New money pit.

I have to feed it from a pump on one end of the sump and it discharges flow at the other end of the sump so its not recycling the water.
 
Here is what the skimmer is putting out after less then a day.

I'm now working the the re-fueling outage at the plant and I'm working lots of hours and I'm in the process of making my 120gal into a 180 or 210gal. So I haven't had time to finish the 240 tank.

I think I might have a problem I am about to order a 220gal tank since I just got this new skimmer a Bubble Master 250 rated for 500+gal tank.

Thats a beautiful problem to have! Skimmer looks great, I've been reading allot of good reviews on them. Let me know when your ready to show it off.
 
Nope, the virus is contagious and getting worse. I will be getting rid of the 120 reef and just have the 240 and 220, so I will have enough saltwater to kill my home theater system if both tanks decide to go boom. lvpd, if you would like to see it just let me know I'm free tomorrow and monday but I will be working nights for about a month.
 
kudos on the skimmer. it looks so beautiful. Isn't it funny how we get all excited about plastic cylinders in this hobby? LOL
 
I like the shot of the hermit with the xeni on it. I had one that picked up a shell with a 'sroom on it. BTW I saw from the other thread that you got a leak on the collection cup with the new skimmer. That stinks.. Are they sending you a replacement?
 
I plan on moving all my animals from the 120 into the 220 and I just ordered a 72" hood with 3 250W MH and 4x96W PC's. I will create a basement sump room with the H&S skimmer, controller, calcium reactor since I'm tired of hearing water noises in my family room. I will also try to get a Golden Rhomboid and Pyles fairy wrasse for the tank if I can get a LFS around here to order one.
 
first a 240, then a 220.....I give it 6 months and you will find thats not enough and set the 120 back up:) you need one reef, one fish only and one agressive . looking good. possible tanks tour??
