Parameters? I'm leaning to high nitrate/phosphates. Usually when I had a monti exhibit this it was due to water chemistry issues.

Sincerely,

David

Zero on both. I am running a ULNS with zeovit. Here is another picture. I dip all corals before adding to tank with Coral RX.

You say it's a new piece? Was it in a higher Alk system? Or have you had any Alk swings? I know my Monti are very sensitive to Alk swings.

checked alk a little lower 6.4. Normally at 7.0. Do not know what alk level the LFS keeps there tanks at normally.

My sunset monti which I've had for years is sort of doing the same thing recently. My nutrients have always been high with higher nitrate levels for four years now. I assume it's alk swings from time to time.

Was it only in your tank for a day when that happened? I'm not saying it's what happened in your case because I don't think it is, but u do need to keep a eye on pepp shrimp. I tried them 2 different times & both times they picked at corals & killed tissue. They seemed to go after meatier corals like acans & one time my euphylia. Never had one pic at any sps
