New Nano 800.04_A pump not working!

I just took this out of the package to run my Triton bio-pellet reactor and I can't seem to get it to pump water...all it does is rattle around. The impeller seems like it needs to sit down further and then it appears to spin correctly. Is the impeller supposed to be attached to the magnet? If so, is there a way to reattach them myself?

The impeller is broken, if you bought it within the last 2 years email me the invoice and we will send a new impeller. Just an FYI, this pump is no longer made, 1073.008 and 0900 replaced it, what is out is a few years old and mainly intended just to replace this pump in old 9002 skimmers where no other pump will fit.

Yes, I bought it a couple of months ago to run the bio pellets after the tank had been cycled. I didn't want to run the pellets yet...funny to hear it was discontinued a while ago, lol. Email has been sent.

We still stock them, but they are no longer made, we hoarded them so people with older products could get spare pumps, the 9002 for example if it was made for this pump, cannot use any other, for any other purpose though the 1073.008 or 0900 is the current equivalent, 0900 is the newest one.

will the 1073.88 or 0900 fit the old 9002 skimmer?

The 9002 came in two versions, those made from 2004-2008 used the 0800.040, those made from 2009-2014 used the 1073.008, you have to use the pump that was originally used and both are available. Only the correct pump will fit due to the internal baffling.
