Hey guys i brought home a open brain yesturday and though it looked nice yesturday when i got home from work this morning the flesh was tighat against the skeleton and there was no puffyness to it...

My tank parameters are all good but i did a 5 gallon water change and im running carbon just to be sure.

Calcium is 400-450
Ph 8.3
Alk 11.2

The Store i bought it from i thought had it under halides but my wife said she didnt think so and i had it under my halides today. So im thinking i might of burned it... but im pretty sure the store i got it from had it under halides..

Any guesses as to whats wrong?

Try shading it, I just got one and all the advice I got said that they didn't like high light. Also make sure it is not in an area of heavy flow.

Well last night i put my home made feeding hat over the brain and shot some mysis, cyclopeze, and zooplankton down the feeding tube after light outs... the brain puffed up alittle bit and was starting to look better...

i came home from work today and i only had my actinics on, and the flesh on the brain was tight and against the skeleton again...

i for the life of me dont know whats going on... its in next to no flow... water is spot on with all levels.... this thing looked great at the LFS

Try putting it in a spot where it has medium indirect flow.
