New Ora Red Planet Table Acro

i cant seem to see any photobucket pictures or log in to post my pic,but mine was labeled crimson on the bag and it does look like the ATL mirabilis to me.mine doesnt look like the pic of the "red planet"from ORA but it is small so hard to say what it really looks like.

ok went to a different computer and now photobucket works,i do believe it is the same as the original pic just small so the red isnt so pronounced.whatever the name is really doesnt matter to me,this is "THE NICEST CORAL" to come out of ORA in a while.i was very happy with the plasma and pearlberry but this thing is a step above those.

that pic isnt of red planet...

this is

the original name was crimson clover until they changed the name last minute.

Now that's what I'm talking about!!!

wow , I'm glad I saw these pics before I commit to buy this coral at my LFS. It look so much like the ATL mirabilis it's not even funny. As nice as this is I'm going to have to pass as it's just way to close to the ATL christmas which I already have. Now, If I had a larger tank maybe I'd think differently haha.

Hmm, That's weird i'm also surprised. That is the picture they send me and everyone that deals with ORA. Ask your LFS if he/she got the same picture. Thanks

I am calling them tomorrow to ask a few questions, so i will just ask them if the pics natural sunlight. If you go on their website most of their sps pics are taken under natural sunlight.

I had a coral years ago from Reefstuff.com (now soutassaltwater.com) that they called Acropora anthocercis.
This is the best picture I have of mine when I had it.

Not sure, but it looks like the coral in the first post, and grows into a nice red table coral. soutas sells pretty nice sized frags of them for $25.

I agree with RENDO it looks like a Acropora anthocercis mine has similar colors to the ORA one I got it froma local TOTM reefer in the area. I am just going to wait how the ORA colors up for other reefers before I pull the trigger. It has the same tabling growth as pictured in ORA mother colony and coralite and polyp structure.

Rendos that is a nice table. how you lost it?

Bottom of tank broke while I was at work. It was dry in the floor with everything else when I got home.

yea ora/s got some nice corals, this ones expensive compared to the others, its limited quanities too, i work at a lfs and recieve their list and this one takes the cake.

My LFS said he's going to try to get ORA to send him three on his next shipment although they typically will only send one per order. We'll see.
