are you all leaving them on the ora plugs and just either gluing them or finding a whole to stick the plug in? can you cut the bottom of the plug off and then just glue the base of the plug with the frag to the rocks?

Can you just try and take the frag off the plug totally or is that not good practice for these ORA's? TIA

when mine is ready for the tank... i intend to break it off of the ORA plug

if i can break it, then i will dremmel as much of the ORA plug away as possible

and... mounting horizontally is a great way to get more/symmetrical growth out of a frag

Any Suggestions on how to get coral off of Oras plugs?? Just got mine a few days ago. I hate frag plugs and need some advice. any help appreciated

thanks for the advice. I just got mine off my ora plugs. my bellina came right out of the center of the plug with no issues.

My red carpet took a little more effort. I took a big pair of cutters and cut the point off the plug and that caused the red carpet to come out clean with no issues.

I just glued them to my rocks and they look great. I will try and get some pictures tomorrow.

OK I am being a bit lazy here and not reviewing the last 10 pages. But my questions is how is everyone's growth? I bought mine 6 WKs ago and at this time it is encrusting onto the LR and 2 of the tips are growing quickly, white tips (not rtn). At this time one of my faster growing sps in my tank.

i also agree, my red planet has been encrusting like crazy! I can literally see progress on a daily basis... ive had mine 3 weeks. its holding its rich red color while it also picked up some more intense green...

What kind of flow are you all giving your red carpet? In direct or alot of direct flow?

I am assuming you have them very high up in the tank as well?
