I purchased a pair of black ocillarus(sp?) clownfish a while ago now and they've adapted quite well to my tank with no signs of disease or illness. However, these poor fish seem to not want to decend more than 6" into my tank, and I've only once ever seen them at the bottom (it's been 3 weeks). I recognize that I do not have an anenomea at the moment, but I'm surprised to find that they haven't chosen to host on my bed of pulsing zena or my St. Thomas mushroom or even my montiporia- they instead prefer the top left corner of my overflow. **EDIT** They are also the only fish currently residing in my 55g tank, their tankmates are: (2) Peppermint shrimp, various corals (Torch, monti, zoa's, zenia, st.thomas mushroom, sps, clove polyps) and a cleaning crew.
Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on how to encourage their traveling?
