New Percula not eating

Hello all,
I recently added a true percula to my tank, and he has yet to eat (been about 5 days). I've been trying to feed him a variety of frozen brine and formula 1, but he seems very uninterested. The yellow jawfish in my tank took a little while to start eating as well, but he is now eating well. Any suggestions on what else to try feeding? Such a nice looking fish, I don't want it to starve.
Thanks,
Jesse

Jay,

5 days is too long. Percula's are generally bold feeders.

Did you ask the clerk at the store to feed him before you purchased him? I won't buy a fish unless I've seen it eat. Eating is an overall sign of good health. (but not the only sign of course.)

Speaking from experience, The other issue that's highly important is acclimation. If equalizing the PH, Temp and Salinity is done too quickly it can spell disaster for the fish.

Yeah, he was eating at the store. I acclimated for a good hour or so. I've never had problems getting my other clowns to eat and get comfortable.

As a last ditch you could try and find a product called Seachem Entice, which is a flavor enhancer. My fish really find it irresistable.

I don't think that it will work, but anything is worth a try after 5 days of not eating.

i also introduced 2 clowns to my tank together from another well established tank, and they haven't eaten yet :( they swim around very actively and hang out together and both look extremely healthy and bright, just not eating...

Frozen Cycloopeeze!! I fed all my Clowns this when they were new..It is small for small fish..Once they get bigger they eat everything!;) If you can't find this local, try Premiumaquatics.com

Unless your Clowns are sick, they will eat this!

Good luck

I had a false perc that did what yours is doing, did not eat anything even frozen cyclopeeze..

it died after about 5 days.... :(

I now have 2 happy false percs in my 10 gal nano though !!!

it was still sad to see it die, I tried to hard to get it to eat, offered it the best of the best.. I got nothing and it died... poor fish !!! I hope you have better luck though !!!
