New Pet Store

Have any of you been to the new Pet Store in Farragut? Not sure if I can post the name. Most should know what I'm talking about. Is it worth the trip out there? Has anyone purchased any live stock from them?

I am unaware of which Pet Store you might be referring to... Only pet store I know of out there is Pet Smart...

Petco's aren't new... They're a chain, that is much the same as Pet Smart... They do occassionally have the $1 per gallon tank sale, which is pretty cool... Only thing is that they are not RR aquariums... I doubt you'll be impressed by any of the livestock they carry... Its usually just clowns and psuedos, and the occassional wrasse... If the store is new enough, they may not even be diseased...

I went in and they had some nice selections but the yellow tangs looked sick. The Hummas triggers looked ok though.

New for the Knoxville area. There has been alot of opinions about this company.

My opinions aren't negative... Its much the same as any other store... You have to look closely at the fish and be sure its healthy before you select it...

Hummas are tuff. you can almost keep them in the toilet and table salt..tho in a few months thats what they'll be in..

There is a rather lengthy thread on RC started by a guy who worked at Petco and talked about his efforts to use his skills to make things better for the critters, but ended up being blocked by company policy. I can't remember where I saw it, though. Let's just say I am not a fan. And I stopped buying freshwater fish at Petsmart log ago.
