Just got done cleaning the rock with a toothbrush before the h20 change, which hasn't been done yet. Anyways, restacked the rock, looked neat. Note the sun in the side window, makes lots of algae, but the carpet anemone loves it. Pic is hard to take, but it is full sun for a few hours.

Dan I think my coris does have the same colors as yours.I think it was just stressed for that first week now it looks very simular to yours.Tank is lookin good.I have 65 gal of ro/di water if you want it.We could move it in my truck, thats a 50 percent ro/di water change.Might help since you just scrubbed all of your rocks.

advice1, the anemone is smaller right now than at other times such as last year when it would fan out much more, but the density of it and the colors were weaker then compared to now. Before I added a clownfish it would expand much more when the sun hit it, which was last year before the clown, this year it stays tighter. Not sure what to say.

reefer, I agree that the coris you have looks just like the one I have, but your coris has that taller spike. Thanks for the water offer, but I will have to pony up and get a system rather than hauling water all over town. I didn't have this much algae until I opened the blinds for the sunlight.

T Bone, thanks! Now where the hell are your pics!

I am surprised you dont have issues with one of those triggers getting the best of your flame angel.

I love flames, as well as clown triggers, I just have not been able to decide which direction to go...how does that work?

Also, really nice tusk!

Some new shots......got rid of a couple of fish, got a new one, may get another new one soon! But for now, here are a couple of good shots, not great, but good enough.

by the way how long have you had your red coris
ive wanted one for so long but am afraid to order one in because everytime my lfs gets one in they always die so im planning on getting a dragon wrasse

how was yours when you first got yours.

Funny you should ask. It has been with me since August '05. Came in direct from a collector in HI and was basically the same 12" it is now and was in about 2" of water because it bit the bag at some point. I called the seller and asked 2 things, was the water parasite clean and what does he want me to do.....he said dump it in and I did. The water was cold in the bag and warm in the tank. It went in and buried itself instantly next day it came out and we've done great ever since. I really think they are hardy, just people don't feed them enough. They should have a line that goes down the side where the fish bulges over and under. You can see it in a straight on shot. Most I see in the store are skinny and they can't eat big pieces of meat and many don't think pellets are good enough for fish so they feed them dumb a$$ brine. Mine lives on pellets and snatches up meat when I feed it. Don't give up on the coris, they look much nicer than a dragon wrasse and have a much better reputation for behavior.

It is in a bucket resting after a long trip.....thanks again reefer334! Can't wait to see the one you got as well!
