New picasso's

There looks to be a slight underbite in the larger fish, but to be honest, it seems par for the course with these fish.

Certainly in the ones I've seen, there seems to be a prevalence for it in this breed out.

Not getting into the for and against arguments; if you like em, then good for you. I hope they give you years of joy :)

These fish are both from wild caught parents (from my knowledge the male was purchased several months after the female too so most likley not even the same location)

no "classic hillbilly inbreeding" at all, & how could you possibly tell with the only clear picture being one of the mouth open?

Just for the record, when the mouth is closed ...again.. there is no overbite at all, looks just like the other fish. now stop being jelous and enjoy my fish :D

Sugartooth that was the only one I really wanted :) I love this little guy :)

Jov, your totally right there is no inbreeding here, I think people expect picassos to have deformed face and gills, I have not seen this in any of the pictures I have of these fish.

your females face does not look messed up to me, i have turned down ORA picasssos, I ordered and they came in with totally smashed faces, They also died at the LFS, they were very sickly. I have also seen ORA picassos that were absolutely perfect at Atlantis Aquarium In VA, I think these fish coming from a small breeder may have less bent gills, but we will have to wait and see.

Sorry to again Derail a thread, Any updates jov :)

Jovreefer, you've got some bad boy picasso's there, i was supposed to get that nice one from bonesreef but i passed, glad to see you got it, they look very healthy to me, dont listen to the negative people and to what they say, they are awsome and i see nothing wrong with them at all but only that there bad.. welcome to the picasso club dude!!!

Nothing really new to update. The smaller picasso is eating anything & everything like a pig & I'm thrilled to see how good an appitite it has now. My favorite one only eats certian things, I'm really hoping its appitite pics up to its sibling soon so these babies can start growing big & beautiful.

are these ORA Picassos? or Bones is breeding his own? may be nice to pair offsprings from both to cut down on inbreeding.

yes, we need pics
