New pickup! Blackfin chromis

Just wanted to share my new pickup, Blackfin chromis (Chromis vanderbilti). I don't see these to much in the hobby. Not as colorful as a lot of other chromis but just as fun. Theyre dark colored at the moment because they still in acclimation.

My LFS had some a few weeks ago and I almost pulled the trigger. I think they are very attractive and if I keep chromis in the future this is the species I want. Congratulations!

Did you get the chromis at a local LFS or online? They don't seem to be often available. Are they in quarantine?

They are lovely fish and they have a subtle beauty.

Yeah theyre in QT at the moment. I was lucky enought to catch them but you could probably request them at you lfs.

Yes, they dont have the in your face color of, lets say, a green chromis. But I find the longer Ive been in the aquarium hobby, I find Im appreciating the subtle colors and forms of fish.
