Form of Mohawk?

DelSol650,

I'm not sure. I used to have Mohawks prior to a tank crash and I dont remember them looking this pink. =)

look like a form of candy apple red, only difference is the transition from green center to red ring is much more abrupt on the candy apple reds

Just some more reason's why these names are absurd. That polyp might morph into a "Cherokee cranberry plunger" in your tank. If it does, please name it.

Those are very nice POLYPS you acquired and their color is very nice. Nice score! Good luck with them

Yeah, which is why I said MORPHED. since 1 zoo can morph to a bunch of differnt looks depending on tank chemistry/lighting etc...

what ever the original piece is, its a nice one. Propagate that piece and share it with fellow reefers incase something happens to it. so that you may have others to go to incase you need to replenish that supply.

you have been very active for the past 2 hours, as well the past two days. Are you trying to boost that post total up?

It would be great if you could contribute more than 4 words per response. good luck

Thanks for the comments guys. I was curious of I was the only one that thought the mohawks in the picture were slightly different. I used to have a colony prior to this one and I could of sworn the mohawks I had weren't as pink as this one was.

Here's another picture of the same type of speckling. I found this guy as a hitchhicker off a colony. I don't know if I posted this already, but hey its more eye candy.
