New pics...haven't posted in a while...

I agree with Melev, I unpluged my moonlights on my fixture and do not even use them anymore. I love looking at my tank at night after about 2 hours of total darkness (with the help of my flashlight).

I really see the best PE and make me happy to see all those corals happy :) It also helped when I got the Wireless controller for my vortech that moderates the flow, I think thats important to corals aswell IMO :)

melev,
Wind up flash light. I think I have seen those. No batteries needed :). The battery companies must really love you :).

sditch,
It's funny how the corals react to having some down time. Tonight I will check again and make sure there is PE :). I have my powerheads on a wavemaker and at night they (3) are off or on gentle cycle except for one. The other motion is provided by my SCWD.

Trotter,
Thanks for the compliments.

well the first attempt didn't go so well, I think a I need to use black acrylic on the outside edges, because it seems to let in to much light and it scatters weirdly. And as well I did not make it wide enough to do much, so I need to try for another one. the problem really is that my lens has a MFD of like three feet at 300 mm so I couldn't end up sitting it right up against the bottom of the box. so I am hopefully gonna have a new one made by wed.

Yunachin,
Thanks for the compliments :).

breutus,
I did not have black acrylic either but just used some krylon spray paint for mine. After I had it all assembled and sealed I sprayed it. Sorry for the dumb question but what is MFD? Good luck with version 2.

Thanks

minimal focus distance. i have to be at least 2.9 feet from the subject i am trying to shoot, with this lens! and not a dumb question at all!
