Paid a visit to The Aquarius on Sunday and came home with some really nice stuff.

Super red blastos. I've been looking at these in his store for a while. My mom actually bought them for me for my birthday. Carlos was super nice and gave her a little discount because they were a present.

Super green and yellow mushrooms. I actually bought these from him a few weeks ago but just now putting up a pic.

Also went home with a bi-color blenny and a hi finned shrimp goby. Awesome fish but they're a little shy.

Carlos gets the best corals and is a real stand up guy. The Aquarius is the best reef store in town for my money. Just wish he was out on the west side.

You can always count on Carlos to get corals that are nice, bright and healthy. Not to mention unique. Great buy on the corals.

Paid another visit to Carlos, more proof that he has the sickest corals in AZ:

Also got a three polyp frag of utter chaos palys and a small frag of blue stylo.

Go see Carlos if you haven't yet. Great guy running a great local business that deserves lots of support.

I bought the smaller frag of that green Blasto but haven't picked it up yet. Great piece! Carlos does get great stuff and his prices are awesome!

Does he have any more of the red Blastos??? Do you mind sharing how much you paid?

All look very nice... I have a reverse Hammer Frog too... Favorite coral in my system but I paid through the nose for it :-)

What do you consider through the nose? and how many heads was it when you bought it?

2 large heads. Open it's about the size of a softball... I paid $100, but got a cleaner shrimp in the deal... the only reason I considered it to be "through the nose" is that after I bought it I was told by many that I paid too much, but maybe they don know what they were dealing with.

Hmmm after looking at it.. I guess its not what I thought... anyways here is a pic.

He had some blastos similar to mine on Sunday but the polyps weren't that big. My frogspawn is a wall, not branching. I call it reverse because the common ones are green with purpl tips but this one is purple with green tips. Looks nice next to my normal frogspawn.

lighting plays a huge factor when it comes to corals. You can see those killer red blasto at store and wet yourself in excitment get them home and they are amlost brown under your lights and conditions. You have a common frogspawn I used to sell mine at $10-$15 a head so I'd have to say you got taken. But, to live and learn is part of life.
