New Project Needing Ideas

Well as everyone know I'm tired of swimming anytime I need to do anything in my tank. So after months of thinking I think I have it down what I'd like to do and want to hear your thoughts :)

Tank will be a Miracles 146G 48x32x22 1/2 Sides and Front , 5/8 Rear with a External Overflow. It will be going Rimless with Black Silicon. I haven't decided on Starphire or not as I can't really tell the difference for the money.

My plan is to reuse my lighting setup Maristar 48" 250x2 MH, 54x2 T5 . On this build I'm leaning towards a Lifereef Sump/Fuge and a Planctonite BOT 250 skimmer. For flow Im going with 2xMP40W which I just got

This is going to be a slow build since we're going to be house hunting but anyways this is the plan.

I like the front to back space, but are you sure you want to stick with 4 foot long. Just a thought but when I had my 4 foot 120 running I always wished I had an extra foot or two.

Now that I do I really like it. this sounds like a custom built tank to me so keep in mind for the long haul, fish like tangs if you are planning on keeping any really need some straight line swimming room.

Sounds like a killer tank. My ? would be what is the dimentions on the light fixture. Wonder how much of the 32" are the light fixture going to hit. I am with Jorge on the length, I would like to do a 84 x 32 x 22 now that would be the shizznee. Are you going with in wall or on a stand? So have they released a price on the skimmer yet.

No price on the skimmer yet, hopefully soon. Im going with a Stand, I really did't give the width much thought at I thought you could raise the MH's a little to make it work but good thought. Maybe back to the drawing board on this one.

I would try it and see before you drop anymore cash into that set up. It would be a shame to not use those light. You are going to need all the cash to pay for that skimmer lol
