Thought you guys might have some good ideas to share on this build. I bought out a reefer down in VA Beach yesterday and came home with a new project. At this point, everything is sitting on my work bench in the shop.
25"x21"x16" (Approximately 33 gal. with glass thickness deduction) I'm going to have to get some glass cut to repair a crack in the internal overflow. I think the rock wall collided with it on the drive home and put a crack in it.
25"x21"x9" (Approximately 20 gal. with glass thickness deduction)
Over the next couple of months I hope to have everything up and running. The plan at this point is to plumb it across the house to the 150 so it is a common water system. I will probably need to make or find a small sump so that both of these tanks can drain into and then pump over to the main sump.
It also came with a rough stand that is going to need some work to get it up to furniture grade, so that is going to be the first step. Our plan at this point is to use the shallow tank for a small frag tank, and use the larger to house a couple of small fish. The tank probably won't have any coral so we can add some interesting smaller non-reef safe fish.
I don't know if we are going to use the fake rock wall that you see with the first tank so if anyone has a tank that they would like to put it in, let me know.
