I have had my work system set up now for 10 months and have resisted many nems in that time.
the system is stable and healthy so I went to the local dealer here in bangkok and he had a sorry tank full of green carpets all about 4 inches in diameter and in the middle of the clump was a purple one! 8 inches across. I asked the price 300 baht about 7 dollars!!
i snapped it up. The tank is bb but the nem settled in the place I put it and had just eaten a large chunk of sushi tuna after the photo (which is why the mouth is gaping it has been other wise tight shut).
My clarks female this morning hosted in it as well happy days!!
hers the nem and a full tank shot

I was shocked too i have seen reds and blues from singapore here go for 7000 (185 dollars) to 10000 (260 dollars) baht so this was an unbelivable stroke of luck.
the dealer had a shabby little shop in the market and probably didnt realise what he had.

all good at the moment the female still has not let the male in though. The mouth has tightend up this morning and it is fully expanded v happy.

is it still doing well and how is the color holding up ? is the copperbanded bf still around and do you consider it expendable ? my 3"-3.5"copperband and purple tang are holding me back from adding a s. haddoni . don't know if the p. tang is strong enough to escape , doubt the copperband could .

its is really well
it has eaten 4 times now and moved up the rock a little but not much an inch
to be honest, it is more pink than purple i have decided but great non the less. I have too many fish in there 9 in total the clowns 4 pj cardinals, a copperband a target mardarin and a cleaner wrasse. so if i can catch any of them i will take them back or give them to a friend to be honest the mandarin needs to come home to my tank as it eats frozen brine but i am not going to rip it down for that same for the cbb. It also eats prepared food.

The pjs are cool but i never see them as the female clown terrorises the tank.

perhaps i will get the plastic tubs out(not net) soon and dedicate it to the clowns.

That price is rediculous for only 5 inches.
someone will pay it they are a RC sponser not a scam
it might be 6 or 7 inches i would truthfully pay more for a small one rather than a 14 incher that is going to eat everything in the tank day one
Just for the record i can think of 100 things i need that money for more than an anemone
another LFS has an 11 inch red less pink for 550 as well

That does seem ott for any anemone but someone will pay it
here they are this morning
