new R/O system

I bought a new Kent system this week from F/S
everything on the old one was due to be replaced including the membranes and so I added it up to be cheaper to buy a new one than replace all the parts and filters

I also bought one of those float valve kits to be able to fill trash cans over night without coming in to my back room under water again

I will let everyone know how well the float works

I find it hard to believe the replacement parts costs more then the unit--- either your entire unit was real inexpensive, or your replacement parts were rediculously expensive....

I hope you didn't spend too much, the Kent units I've seen were pretty expensive for what you are getting--- althought their quality looks better then most units... http://www.marinedepot.com/a_ro_km_rodi.asp?CartId=?adsite=google

I use a kent marine float for filling my trash can storage-- works fine--- although I don't have an ASOV on mine so it will keep dumping water until I shut off the supply.... it is recommended that you don't use that float valve for auto top off of your tank.
