new RBTA Hiding

Floodicus Maximus Flooris
I got a brand new tank bred/split RBTA. Excellent contition excellent shape beautiful Deep shade of red and bubbled tips. I got him from another reefer. His host mother over the course of 15 years has split about 20 times. This Nem was kept under 150w MH's and VHO's. He is now in my reef under 250w MH's and he is on the sand bed and MH's are 9" from the surface of the water. Good flow and the tank params are Excellent. I placed him and he settled in under a ledge and by the next morning he had wedged himself in there and moved to the back of the rocks and is just kind of hiding out. I see him poking out from time to time but barely. should I be worried? Today is the second day I have had him.

I wouldn't worry. Mine sulked around for a good week or so befire it found a place it was happy.

Are you acclimating it to your lights at all? I would suggest using some window screening b/t the tank and the lights.

It was placed in the sand. Under the middle light which is Higher than the end lights because mostly softies live there. It was placed in the shade under a rock and It climed out on its own and into another area.
