looking good man I really like the shelf with the tile it's gonna serve as a nice place to hold stuff while your doing your maintenance I had that on my first stand I built

and here I was thinking that Mexican's were the only ones good a building stuff lol just kidding. looks good jabo

looking good dude! Are u going to keep the back clean? If yes maybe u should consider fitting the plexi on the inside of the overflow so it can be cleaned and avoid scratches!

Thanks so much I have really worked hard on it!!!

Brian it is awesome man keep it up. Now if you would only throw away all those other corals and step up and only grow SPS?? Can you get me a back ground just like that and have it swap?? PLEASE!! Then my tank will be "mini me" of yours!!

Have you thought about MP40 placement yet? The only this i dont like about mine is they are hard to hide...Buy hey, with $400 power heads I guess who needs to hide them.

Jabo on the back ground well I had them make them without asking the cost and man did it shock me when I picked them up lol little over $90.
And yea I have thought alot about the placement of the mp 40's
I am going to add third on on the back wall when I recover from this build lol
The stand about broke the bank lol.
And I am getting ride of most everything other than zoas and sps

If you add a third you better consider bare bottom. There is no way sand will stay in place. I have one in mine (110 gallon 36x30x18) and the sand is an issue. I had to place rocks in certain spots to deflect the flow enough to make it not blow so bad. Three might make the water splash out! My return is a BlueLine 790 GPH external and it does not seem to be the main issue because I have the return line pointing up. When i did the rebuild i was considering relocating the 40 but could decide on a good spot. I wish i could figure out a way to "rig" it on the over flow cover. They would look the best there in my opinion.

true but i could always just cut them back and not run them full power.
I do have them conected wirless to my neptune and they run a set sch. that I wrote that is nice. I have to on my 150 now and have no problems out of them messing with my sand bed.

I have been thinking about a GlassCages tank as well. Glad to hear that you are happy with yours. Your pics looked like it was a pretty well done job (or did you have to clean up a bunch of silicone before you took the pics?).
I have been out of the hobby for a while (like since '94) and wanting to get back into it.
I will continue to follow this thread.
