Hey everybody, just wanted to say hi and ask if anybody could tell me where in birmingham and huntsville togo and shop for corals?

I just set up eight weeks ago my Aqua Pod 24 I have about 50bls. of live rock, 6 snails, 1 blue leg hermit crab and 2 blue mushrooms.

I'm planning to come to the March meeting, does anybody have any frags that I can buy since I have just setup my tank and I dont have anything to trade yet?

Does anybody know when the next frag swap is and where?

There are two places that we have found, Aquarium Imports and Aquarium Designs. They are both in Hoover area. One is just off 31 on Hoover Court, to the right in a shopping center. The other is behind the Galleria, I think its Patton Place. Pass the Galleria on 31, right on 150 then right into shopping center just past CompUSA.

There is also a place in Bessemer but we have not been there.

Where in Birmingham are you? I am over Behind the Summit in Vestavia.
I have an AquaPod 24 also, if you are nearby and want to check it out, send me a PM.

Another good store is Tropical Pet Cove on HWY 119 between Alabaster and Montevallo.
AND Sarris "Underworld" is Sarris Underwater. It is my favorite and located at exit 6 off I-459 behind Dollar General.

The guy at Aquarium Designs said that they were not closing just moving to a new building down the street sometime in March. (lower overhead).

Yea aquarium designs is gonna be moving to Pelham I believe....they are looking for a new building. I know they are looking to lower overhead but also that building at Patton Creek is sinking....their tanks are really showing it in some spots.

I didn't know lateral line disease and ich could be caused by problems with the building.
Anyway, I've heard they were moving/ and downsizing as well, must be true. Perhaps Tien will be able to keep up a smaller store a little better. I've heard that at his last two locations were always top-notch. I know he's really let the new store go downhill( Pun not intended) in the past year or so.
