New return pump for 37 gallons

I'm currently looking for a new return pump 37 gallon tank with 20 gallon sump, and the love a few recommendations.

The only requirements I have at the moment are that I have 1/2 inch PVC fittings as well as a strong requirement that it's as quiet as possible (I watch tv right next to it).
I got recommended the Sicci 1.5 but I'm not happy with the high level of '...it's loud', comments (louder than the 2.0 model). There are so many to choose from on BRS and Amazon it can be daunting so I thought I'd check in with the community.[emoji3]

Thank you.... unfortunately it looks like the smallest size they make is larger than 1/2" PVC output, which means I'd have to use 1/2 barn I guess

Eheim or possibly the MJ1200 cobalt.

You won’t see much improvement in noise levels with any AC pumps except the Fluval sea sp2.
Otherwise you may need to look at a DC like the Varios mentioned above and retrofit your plumbing.

I would also advocate for the eheim AC pumps. I have virtually every model and they are fantastic and quiet workhorses.

Noise is an important consideration, but it really is second to reliability. I've never had an issue with any of my eheims.
