New RO/DI flushing

I just received a new 5 stage RO/DI from BRS. In the instructions it says to flush the system for 1 hour before first use. Should I flush it with the flow restriction bypass open or closed? I think it should be open I just want to make sure.

Are you talking about the Auto Shut Off Valve? I'm not sure what a flow restriction bypass is.

sorry, im talking about the flush kit valve

Run it for a few minutes with the flush kit open to flush off the outside of the membrane, then run for an hour with it closed to flush out the rest of the system.
