Yeah, the larger substrate would allow for detritus buildup for tanks without super high flow (my Tunze streams have to be turned down they are so strong), or those with sloppy tank-keeping habits...
I will be running the Zeovit system, which mandates 10% water changes per week, and I have this great gravel vacum, so I don't anticipate it being a problem... We shall see...
I'm also a firm believer in keeping primarily fish or corals, and not mixing them to a great degree like many hobbyests do... This tank may have one or two fish total, who are feed sparingly, cutting down a great deal on detritus...
G-Money: I had a fan blowing over me while doing this project, so the fumes weren't so bad at all... Also, a single coat never took me longer than 10 minutes at one time, and then I closed off the patio from the house. This really helped, too... Thanks again for the great idea.
