New Setup

I am trying to build up and cover the overflow. It looks much better like this. Now I don't have to worry about getting a large flat piece or live rock

Fishy like to hide in rocks... Has anyone seen my crabs in any of the pictures? They are there, just hiding. Two red ones.

Look at that algae waving around int the current!

Does anyone have any idea how I can still coming off the live rock after curing out of my tank? I have removed it twice and cleaned it off well but there still seems to be quite a bit there.

OK... Does anyone know a good location I could purchase starfish? Liveaquaria.com doesn't seem to have the ones that I am looking for.

OK... it's time to give some updates with this setup. I have coraline algea booming all over the rocks, but for some reason that I can' explain two pieces of my Xenia died. Anyway, I added an a bubble tip anemone, 3 pink clowns, a coral beauty, a tonga fighting conch and a blenny which I can only locate in the tank whenever it decideds it's time to go to sleep. Also added some Zoos that seem to be settling in nicely.

Here are the latest pics

Lots of critters.

Last night when I was cleaning the detritus from the rock, a worm that looks more like a catapillar came flying out of one of the rocks. It was red with hairs just like a catapillar. Anybody has any idea what type of worm this may be?

eh beautiful tank still but is it really 110g because it looks smaller, yet it could the look of the pictures

Thank! That's because it's a tall tank ;). For me to reach down to the sandbed the water is in my arm pits :eek2: . I am six feet tall. It's the same width and depth as a 90 gallon but the height is different.

Oh then I guess it's the perspective of the pictures. So I guess the tank is 48" long. I thought it was like 36".

May I know how much you spent on the equipment? I'm planning on setting up a 50g FOWLR and it seems most people have spent thousands of dollars which I believe is only because most are setting up reef tank.

THanks

well M town you would want to look at my tank.....As my brother has a 110 I have a 65, with a 15 gallon fuge/sump......if you want to know numbers click the red house. DP sorry for hi-jacking......oh by the way i see that frag i gave you is doing well.....

Hmmm... I would say that in equipment alone tank, pumps, fuge, lights, hood I spent about $1,500. That does not include sand, salt, live rock livestock or all the DIY stuff that I did.

Looks like you got something to work with, its going to be very nice. Good job !!

Thanks... It's been a labor of obsession. Wife would let me get a Motorcycle so I am retaliating!

Looks good. I love my 110.

The catapillar your asking about sounds like a bristle worm. Some like them, some hate them.
