New skimmer foaming past 48 hours... Normal?

Just setup my new Frag 105.4 tank.

Water, live sand and rock were added about 8 days ago along with full dose of IO Bio-Spira.

Water has cleared up pretty well and I started the new skimmer: Bubble Magus Curve 5.

As expected with gate valve fully open it started overflowing bubbles (clear) with clear wet skimmate on startup. So 48 hours later and the same amount of wet skimmate is over flowing. Is this normal for 2 days straight? My previous skimmers were always broken in by the second full day..

In my experience i would keep the skimmer offline for awhile until you have detectible nitrates. That said when you start adding live stock
Just let it cook. Maybe other members can chime in.
