Hi,
i found a new Mantis in a life rock from Bali. He is 1,5 cm tall and green with white stripes.
I take a look in "Revision of the Australian Stomatopod Crustactea" and my first guess was Gondodactylellus virids or Gonodactylellus erdmanni.
But im not shure because im from germany and this book is very difficult for me to read. It is maybe a other species.
I hope you can help me with identification Dr. Roy.
Thanks.
Here are some Pics.

It is definitely not G. erdmanni or G. viridis. Without having it in hand, I can't be sure, but it looks like Gonodactylellus annularis. The white bands and green body are typical of this species.. This is a small gonodactylid that lives in clean, high energy habitats. In Australia I have collected it from cavities in coralline algae near reef crests and Erdmann and I have found it in similar habitats in Indonesia. Very little is known about its biology.

Thank you for identification and the info about this species Dr. Roy.
It is very nicely from time to time to find another species in life rocks. Normally i found only G. viridis.
