Well, I even can't find where is my originally build thread. In short, since last January I went into an on/off relationship, my reef tank maintenance was basically suspended. Well,I'm now back to the ocean world.

This is how the tank looks now. I know it isnt sps but it's always my favorite. this is a new one--the one I had ended up in an mp10

its base got rtn. I tried to kill the aiptasia and only accidentally fragged it. already put 3 berghia nudibranch+8 peppermint shrimp in. it seems to be recovering

aussie fat milli. has yet to color up

tyree pink lemonade. got the yellow tips but the polyps need to be redder

fts now is DIFFICULT for all the sides of glass is covered with coraline algae--needs a lot of work to clean em up

some more corals:

these 2 have yet to live at their full. they showed no pe no growth for past few months and now are making their comeback

ice blue tabling coral with red polyps

red/pink coral with yellow coralites and green polyps. the vendor named it sun explosive milli. totally missed the focus. the wave was strong at reefcrest peak

superman milli

cali tort. well, i dropped it and then dropped a rock onto it when reaquascaping. ugh, most of its tips were broken. replaced so still acclimating

Your SPS look amazing. You are honestly doing VERY WELL. Got a few questions which I hope you dont mind answering:

1. Are you still running the Zeovit system?

2. Other than the basic Zeo components, what other KZ Zeo additives are you dosing?

3. What is your T5 tube combo?

4. What are you current PO4 and NO3 readings?

Nice collection of corals and sorry for ritteri loss. I had a red base one and got rid of it after 3yrs when my mother clown jumped out:mad2: Forest fire digi is becoming one of my favorites in my tank .

hey dude, thanks for finding my thread back--ok I'll stay here

1, I'm still running Zeovit system

2, none, just bak, start3, stone, carbon. for my best knowledge, as long as there's sign of algae and no sign of paling, you don't need any supplements

3, t5 is front to back:

ati blue plus
ge 6500k
kz purple
ati blue plus
ati blue plus
ati blue plus
ge 6500k
ati blue plus

dawn and twilight=kz purple+ati blue plus

4, I have yet to test. it's my first time to try dry rocks and they did bother me. When it's totally soaked, it released tons of phosphate into the water and nuisance algae thrived and sps turned downwards. And when the algae started to fade, they literally exploded my skimmer and caused big ph and alk swings--which were more fatal to sps and anemone. That must've caused my ritteri to wonder around.

Well, I'm back now :beer::beer::beer: will test regularly and maintain regularly

Well cut my finger and am now in ER. It proves this is not only expensive but dangerous hobby! I scrapped quite clean the front glass and will shoot some more pictures tomorrow

The 2 main hospitals in London usually see you within 4 hours. Used to be much worse, but they have improved over the years.

ok, I'll get some cleaner looks of my tank when my finger cut recovers

some more sps--basically those are all I'm now having in the tank

garf bonsai--not doing very well. palin and small pe

pacman--doing well. supposed to be red with green tips but this one turns to be purple with yellow tips and polyps. interesting

season's greetings--doing well but was damaged during the reaquascape

Your corals are generally in very good health and exhibit quite good colour, being that they are mostly only frags. Love the Seasons Greetings; that looks pretty sweet.

As for the tank; :facepalm: - Just kidding.
Scrape the glass regularly, then it wont become such a large job. Also, the algae growing on the side and bottom glass, turn all pumps off, scrape it all and then siphon it out. It a form of nutrient export itself.

Hope you dont mind the suggestions.

I don't know what the algae is but it isn't cyano or hair. It grows like the pattern you see--brush and when you touch it, it's quite hard. Pods love it. I always try to keep some part of my bare bottom for it to grow part. And I actually like the feelin.

Things will be improving lol. Next time will be way cleaner and sleeker

That's pretty cool the pods love eating on the lawn. Means you should have LOADS of pods around. If its easily controlled, then there is no issue having it in the tank.

I experimented this algae for a while. It started in the last stage of initial stage algae outbreak. And it's gone if the wave is too strong.

Tested some water parameters:

Mg 1300--ok. I used io salt mg reading was above 1500

Phos 0.05--a tad higher than ideal. Faster the flow of zeo reactor

Salinity 35 ppm

the algae is striking a small comeback because of my increased feeding. glass cardinalfish needs to be fed a lot. But the corals seem to be better

the superman mille is showing the ice blue tips but has yet to show redder polyps.

sorry for the bad focus ;-) I need stronger hands. ORA Shortcake--my favorite ssc variation. IMO stronger lighting makes ssc greener, opposed to ORA's description online

Looking good! Despite the corals being frag sized they still have very good colour. Zeovit is working well for you.

wow, so much better with those coraline is scraped out. its gonna nice when those corals grow. hope ur finger is ok by now.
