New store in Pinellas Park area....

Just wanted to let you guys and gals know that there is a new store that opened up in the Pinellas Park area. It's called Rockin' Reefs and I just got back from there. Excellent store!! They aquaculture their own LR (amazing stuff BTW, wish I had another tank that needed more rock!!), they have an awesome selection of corals, clams, etc....in fact, I'm acclimating a new clam right now!!
Cool place, a little hard to find but it's located off of 54th Ave N. and 64th Way N. 64th Way is a dead end street so there's only one way to go in there. The store is located on the right hand side towards the end of the road. It's right next to a car accessories store. Why am I telling you all this? Because they don't have a sign up where you can see it from the street yet. It's there but hidden behind some other stuff so it's hard to see. They aren't done yet with the store but what they have is amazing and I can't wait to see it when it's all finished!!

BTW, I don't work for them or anything, just excited that a nice reef store opened up near me!!

I have actually been shopping there store for about 4 years or so. this is a new location though. they used to be a few blocks away in there back yards. the new storefront does make for easier shopping.

they are county, neighbors can't say a word. if they don't like it they have to move or deal with it. besides they own the houses on both sides of where the rock is. I never smelled anything at all the several times I was there.

Is Scott in the buisness of retail or does he only wholesell? If he does retail can you post directions or a phone number?

By the way, I stopped by Reefin Rocks this weekend. And it is a very nice store. I little different from others. Nice selection and fair prices. All the stock I saw was in good shape and everything was clean.

Just because something isnt illegal....doesnt make it NOT STUPID and annoying. Im sure their backyard isnt zoned to allow for commercial ventures or agriculture. Then again, I have seen horses as pets in people yards in the Park............

Scott was turned into the authorities by one of his compeditors. He was checked out thourally and all his licenses are in order. I guess he is a threat.

Im also amused that no one else find this situation hysterically funny. I would be beyond angry if some schmoes ran a stinky liverock business out of there back yard near my house. If you want to run a business, do it the right way.

that was my first thought and i asked how the heck his neighbors dont complain like crazy but then I learned that they dont and cant say anything because he owns all the houses around him. your should ask to go see the set up. its rather cool to see IMO

I gruduated from teh 6ht grad.

I trade with Scott all the time. The place is very clean and IMO I think he has a sweet set up.
