New Store Soon!

So I like to keep my ear to the ground regarding the LFS around CT. And the word is, there's a new one opening up. I sent a message to the facebook page, but haven't gotten an exact opening day. Mid-July said a post though. So be on the lookout for...

Headie Corals NH! (North Haven)

Its at 380 Washington Ave in North Haven. Its about a 10 min ride down the road from APC wallingford.

This is actually a second store for a business based in Virginia. And the main page posts some of the most insane acan colonies. (6+ colors in a single polyp at times) Not to mention comparable chalices. So if this store has that stock, this will be my new place to be.

I plan on stopping up there and seeing if anyone is around to get some more info. I'll keep this thread updated.

Collin - sounds potentially exciting. Especially for coastal reefers that aren't closer to Greenwich, which is where most of the best CT coast reef stores are now. I'm in Westport which, while coastal, is still a haul from Greenwich. North Haven is about the same distance, and a new good option would be great!

Do you have a link to their current store?

Thanks for posting this!

Tanks Collin. Nice home page pics. Not a lot else though. But that's not necessarily meaningful. Let's see what they bring to CT! ;)

The facebook page is where the eye candy lies my man. Headie Coral into facebook search. Headie Coral NH for the CT store

I met the owner at the reef show in Storrs. He seemed quite knowledgeable and had some nice wares with him at the time. Sounds promising.

The word on the street is that the owner Sheridan and Jeff are both past Exotic Fish and Corals employees. Jeff will be managing the store. I can't wait for the place to open. Insider info is that it will open the 3rd week of July. I'm looking forward to it!!

Just got a message about an opening date!

Sat, July 20th will be the day Headie Coral NH opens it's doors.

12-8pm were the hours of the day.

I'll def be stopping in, who else is coming?

I stopped in yesterday. Selection was limited but prices were fair and the livestock quality was good. I can't wait to see the big frag tank full of corals!

I stopped by, and picked up two yasha gobies for 38.99 each. Prices are spot on with the stores in the area, if not a tad cheaper for certain fish.
