i went later on in the day when all the good stuff was gone, but still picked up a new mag 7 for $70, by the way their dry good prices actually rivaled online stores. Something i have never come close to seeing.
THe new tank prices were outstanding, but IMHO, you did not miss too much on the used equipment side. There were some decent tanks, a couple of nice rubbermaids that some guy bought, but that was it.
Most of the equipmet I saw at 7am when I dropped my stuff off was there when I checked to see if my stuff sold at 5:30. I didnt see anything I needed. My tank, filter, and other misc.
I didnt like having to drive back to Missouri at 5 to see if my stuff sold and even when I got there they couldnt tell other than to tell me to look and see if it sold. I asked how much they got for it and they said they would call me later in the week if my stuff sold and let me know how much I would be getting.
Yeah, I didn't see much of intrest in the used stuff either. In fact, I got out of line for the used stuff before they even opened up. I did go inside and score some frozen fish foods at 30% off though.
Hey I did alright there. I bought a 200 gallon box mix of IO $35, a 16 oz frozen flat pack of mysid $9.56, some of DT's oyster eggs$13.86. I didn't think the used stuff was all that, But that wasn't TWP fault. I Know it was nice to see a LSF bomming with that many people! And it was NICE to see some of the SLASH members there too .
Ya the place was as hard to get around in as a ladies night with Penny pitchers for the fellas.
I picked up a small mag float for 6.99 thats mail order prices befor shipping and a couple of Gourami for my dads little FW setup buy one get one free
Then got invited for free a beer or two at another members place and got to check out his beautiful Tang filled Reef. Very nice and thanks for the hospitality.
