First chamber is empty,just where water enters second chamber is divided in 2 with half section off with egg crete for macro and the rest with rubble, third chamber has all large rock and skimmer, last has the heaters and pump intake, calcium reactor is dripped into last chamber. Everything is being run from a Hammerhead pump at less than 1/2 of the pump output.
Not sure, I like everything being run from one pump and have one more tank to add to the sump. The bad is if the one pump quits, better have a spare.
I went with the hammerhead because I was moving the water a long horz. distance 35 feet and 12 feet vert. didn't want to have to buy a couple of pumps just to test them to see if they would work. I'm not sure the next size smaller would do the trick.
