There was no reason for him to post about how DSB are more work. It has nothing to do with this thread.

I've run both, on the same equipment, theyre the same amount of work.
 
What are some suggestions about how long to leave the rock in the dark. i have (2)250 HQI, and 130W actinic. My local LFS said I should turn them on sooner than later so any Coraline algae that starts to grow would not go into shock when I turn on my halides.
Any Ideas?

Honestly, I'dturn them on sooner than later. Generally rock cooki8ng is useful when the rock is a dirty mess. Yours looks pretty good.

Of course it does... you cannot use the same equipment for a DSB tank as you do a BB tank! :)
