and the new tank is born, may it last longer in its post than its predecessors.
many thanks to Brent at beyond the reef for all his generosity
I'm not totally happpy with the rockwork just yet, but i'm waiting for the dust to settle before tweaking it. I think the highest rock may interfere with my plans for large stags in the background.
lol the silicone came out reasonably well, it's uneven in a few spots but it'd be uneven in a stock tank after a few passes with a magnet cleaner anyway.
I'm going to try to get away with a single 250 w halide , i think it'll be sufficient with a high - par bulb. The viewing area is 30 x 28 x 22
some more shots to show the rockwork before i add the rest of the sand

I left a good 3 or 4 inches behind the rocks so i can keep the coveted coraline - free look on the back panel

Since i also have 29g and 20g side tanks plumbed into this beast, I'm seriously considering making the main display sps only so i can break the rules a bit with my fish choices.
the two side tanks are each going to house a pair of clownfish, the 29 will be pair of (snowflake x onyx) + (snowflake x onyx) and the 20 will have a (snowflake x onyx) + aussie black ocellaris. the 29 will also house my chalice, zoanthid, and acanthastrea collection
