Looks great coming along nicely..
Now that you have had the kessil for a bit which do you like better? Razor or kessil?
How's that CA reactor? I can get the same one from a friend brand new but it's missing some things on the lid so I will have to buy a whole new one.. Not sure if it will support my tank or if it's a decent unit..
I just install the kessil 4 days ago so I really haven't seeing any difference on the corals or anything else
but here is my opinion on them so far, kessils $399 plus $50 on the goose neck
they are dimmable but if you wanna have the dawn to dusk effect you have to buy a cable the connects to the apex controller (if you have one )
and I dont know if the light is comparable with the reef keeper or not ( if anybody knows please let me know :lol2
The light is definitely really bright it and it dose a awesome shimmer affect in the tank I really like how it makes the tank look...
Maxspect Razor 20.5" on line $360
and is pretty much all you need the y have 3 settings
factory setting dawn to dusk on at 8 am off by 9 pm
personal setting you have 6 time points where you can do your own
and when you go from off to 50% it does it gradually needles to said I love the built in control in it
and it also has a manual control
it has a bigger footprint
and I wish they would have came up with there newer light system razor 420 sooner
the ligh it is 43.5" long and would be perfect for my tank:thumbsup:
at almost $900 but anyway
love the razor
and the calcium reactor honestly I don't have that much experience with it but here is what I done so far
I got the lead for it with the PH probe holder for $60 online and I also got a male adapter holder for the probe for a moment I was thinking of drilling the lead with a set of tap drill bit but it was $70 just for the drill bits
so I got the lead
I have the CO2 connected to the reef keeper and with the ph probe inside the calcium reactor I am staring the reactor at 6.9 ph inside the reactor so when the ph inside gets to 7.0 the co2 turns on and when it drops to 6.8 it turns off
and the calcium reactor at 1 drip per second
I am testing every other day my calcium and alkalinity and now this is what I am thinking if I need more alkalinity I will need to lower the ph inside the reactor to 6.8 and keep testing and this is more a question :lol2:
if I need more CA. increase the drip rate
and this is only base on online threads and forums
and if this is wrong I will greatly appreciate some advice
