so today i was looking online for something a little bigger then my 10g and all the sudden i came across a solana with a cabinet and a 55w compact florescent light for 350! after calling into the store to see if that price was correct they told me that their was a small chip in the glass and that it had been sitting in the store for over a year. i ended up talking them down to 250 what an amazing deal! now i have the tank set up in my home and im just wondering how am going to get 37g of salt water to my house from the store? (i have always bought my water directly from my lfs pree mixed) so now my problem is getting it here without spending a crapload of money on something to transport it. i was thinking some kind of garbage can that i can seal shut anyone have any tips????

also does anyone have any recommended mods for the tank????

nice deal..

dude..just mix it... why go thru all that hastle of carrying it?.. get a big drum, drip a powerhead in it and mixit up!

ansphire i would but i have no access to what i would call clean water at my home. truthfully i don't even drink it due to the rich taste of chemicals in it.

seven five gallon gas cans... you'll be golden. Plus, you will always have spare water.

i thought of that too and its probly my only option but i really would rather not buy the 5 gallon buckets tomorrow im just gonna go to home depot and see what i can find worst thing is ill buy 6 more 5 gallon buckets and ill have 7 but thats gonna be my last option

I used 1 Gallon water jugs for a long time before I picked up some 5 gallon jugs from a local store. I belive I paid 5 dollars each for them and when I do water changes they are a big help. It is worth it to get the jugs now for future use. My .02

I did the bucket brigade for a couple of years... I used 5 gallon gas cans. This got old with several trips a week. All it takes is a situation where you need water and the store is closed to insoire you to buy your own RO/DI filter. Now, I still have the containers, but I make my own water... I also by pass the DI filter and make my own drinking water... Now I never have to log cases of plastic water bottles around either... I live in an apartment, so mine is in the kitchen and when I need to use it I just connect it to the faucet... Seems like a big purchase, but it pays for itself in 6 months... Save the 80Lb farmer carries for the gym.

well guys im going with the 5 gallon buckets ill be hitting up my lfs later for water sand and rock. this is the one part i hate most because i know by the end of the day im going to have blown almost 200$

WalMart has 7 gallon plastic water jugs, which I use. I fill the jugs at WalMart's Culligan Water machine for 39 cents a gallon. Bring water home and mix in a rubbermaid trash can.

no big deal now i just have pleanty of 5 gallon buckets if something ever goes wrong ill post pics later once the dust has settled
