New Tank!

Well, after spending last week in the tropical storm that smacked St. Thomas I was inspired to start a new tank! :lol2::thumbsup: I picked up a 20 gallon long today as well as some sand and placed an order for some T5 lighting. WOOHOO! It's good to be back in the saddle.

This one is going back in the office again untill the wife let's me set one up at home again. :sad1: I am truley excited.

Here is the plan. A KISS approach to a long Nano.

Tank: 20 Gallon Long
Hood: Custom crafted black
Lightiing: Nova 2x24 T5
Flow: Koralia 750
Filtration: HOB or Canister. (Have not decided but am leaning toward an AC HOB)
Sand: 2 inch Sb Aragonite Substrate.
Live Rock of course.
ATO (I think I still have one in the attic)

Inhabitants: Pair of Clowns, CUC, Goby with Pistol, Panther Grouper, Sailfin Tang. (Just checking to see if you were paying attention)
Shrooms, Zoas, GSP maybe. (Might avoid Zinia this time)
Might pick up a few low light SPS for the upper region. THey did well in my Biocube.


Any guidance would be appreciated. I may be looking for frags soon. Not sure who is selling them these days but LFS prices are high it seems from what I recall paying. :bigeyes:

I had a Koralia 2 in my 20L and it was overpowering. 2 smaller pumps on each side works better and a HOB skimmer is all the filtration needed.

Really? Darn. I almost went that route. Will swapp the big one out for two smaller ones if I have to. Thanks.
