I received a Tiger Tail cucumber from liveaquaria on tuesday. I did a slow acclimation of about 2 hours, though the sg level of their water and mine were a near match at just above 1.025.
Tank is 75G with a 5" dsb and has been up for almost 3 years.

When I placed the cucumber in the tank it righted itself and within about 10-15 min. moved into cave area. It has been on the sand right up against the rock in this shaded cave area for a couple of days and has displayed little movement. This morning it was in the same location with about half its body out on the sand away from the rock. I can see a number of small white tenticles protruding from the end of the cucumber and rubing against the sand. Given that his color is fine and he is has not been harassed by any fish I assume that this is normal feeding, but wanted reassurance from someone knowledgeabble on this forum.
Having read about cucumbers expelling their insides when stressed I got a bit nervous since I have no direct experience with these animals. I would expect to see more than just a few short white tenticles protruding if that were actually happening. So, is this normal feeding?
TIA
